GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF RESERVATION

These general terms regulate the accommodation reservation process, the rights and obligations of guests, and the cancellation policy.

Reservation and Confirmation

Accommodation reservations can be made via our website, email, phone, or through authorized travel agents. A reservation is considered confirmed once the guest receives a written confirmation from the hotel and, if required, makes a deposit payment.

Prices and Payment Terms

Accommodation prices are listed in euros and include taxes unless stated otherwise. Payments can be made by credit card, bank transfer, or cash under agreed conditions. The valid service price is indicated in the offer received through the Online Booking System or the reservations department. Contracted services cannot be combined with other promotional offers or packages unless otherwise agreed.

Any changes or deviations from the reserved services will be charged at regular prices. Refunds are not possible for unused services. Any special services not included in the price must be paid for by the guest and should be requested at the time of booking or on-site. Prices in euros are for informational purposes only. We reserve the right to refuse, cancel, or modify reservations if there has been an abuse of the reservation system or if the reservation was made due to an obvious user error.

Cancellation and Changes to Reservations

Guests may cancel their reservations free of charge within the period specified in the reservation confirmation.

In case of late cancellation or no-show, the hotel reserves the right to charge a fee according to the cancellation terms stated in the reservation.

Changes to reservations are possible depending on the availability of accommodation.

Check-in and Check-out

Check-in at the hotel is available from 2:00 PM.

Check-out from the hotel must be completed by 11:00 AM.

Late check-out or early check-in may be available at an additional charge, depending on availability. Hotel Santiny is not obliged to accommodate every guest request for late check-out or early check-in.

Guest Obligations

Guests are required to respect the hotel’s house rules, maintain the inventory, and use the accommodation in accordance with its intended purpose. Any damage caused to the property must be compensated by the guest.

Guests must possess valid personal travel documents. If invalid documents result in the cancellation of travel and cause additional costs for Hotel Santiny, the guest is responsible for covering such expenses. If a guest loses or has their travel documents stolen during their stay, they must bear the costs of issuing new documents. Hotel Santiny is not responsible for any decisions made by customs, police, or other state authorities that may prevent a guest from entering a particular country.

Accommodation in the Hotel

Room assignments are determined by the reception at the destination. If a guest has not explicitly booked a room with specific features, they will accept any officially registered accommodation unit for rent as listed in the catalog and price list. Accommodation in a room is not possible before 2:00 PM on the first day of the service, and the room must be vacated by 11:00 AM on the last day. Arrivals after 8:00 PM must be announced in advance; otherwise, Karvel Hoteli d.o.o. does not guarantee service fulfillment unless stated otherwise.

Price Changes

Hotel Santiny reserves the right to change accommodation prices at any time, depending on the season, special offers, or other business circumstances. However, the price confirmed at the time of booking remains valid for that reservation, except in cases of obvious errors or changes in tax regulations.

Categorization and Description of the Property

The accommodation and other facilities offered are described according to the official categorization of the Republic of Croatia, valid at the time of program issuance based on the information provided by Karvel Hoteli d.o.o.

Hotel Santiny is not responsible for any verbal or written information that does not align with the descriptions of services and facilities in published programs if such information was obtained from third parties. The hotel is also not liable for inaccurate data provided by business partners or other third parties.

Hotel Responsibility

Hotel Santiny is not responsible for lost or damaged personal belongings of guests, nor for property damage caused by weather conditions or natural disasters (hail, floods, fire, heavy rainfall, etc.). We recommend using the hotel safe for storing valuable items.

Tourist Tax

The tourist tax is 1.33 € per person per day.

Children under 12 years of age are exempt from paying the tax, while children aged 12 to 18 years pay 50% of the tax.

The tourist tax is not included in the accommodation price unless otherwise stated. Guests are required to pay the tourist tax upon arrival at the hotel reception, regardless of whether the reservation was made via our website, by phone, email, or through online travel agencies (OTAs) such as Booking, Expedia, and others. The tourist tax amount is determined in accordance with applicable legal regulations.

Personal Data Protection

The hotel collects and processes guests’ personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Details can be found in the Privacy Policy.

Dispute Resolution

In case of complaints or disputes, guests can contact the hotel reception. If an agreement cannot be reached, the dispute will be resolved before the competent court in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Croatia.

Changes to the Terms and Conditions

 

The hotel reserves the right to amend these general terms and conditions. All changes will be published in a timely manner on the hotel’s website.
